2. What is the contact name & number of where you volunteered?
Chino Pediatric Medical Group.
Phone Number: (909)206-8814 or (909)-393-6202
3. What questions were raised because of the 10 hours of experience?
- How does a pediatrician gain their patients and parents trust?
- What is the most difficult part in being a pediatrician?
- What primary kills are needed in order to become a pediatrician?
- Is this a challenging and stressful career?
The most important thing I gained from this experience was seeing how the nurses and doctors would interact with their patients and parents. Going into the rooms with the nurses and the doctor helped understand that in order to be a good pediatrician you must be able to speak both on a child's' level and an adult level.
5. What is your senior project topic going to be? How did what you did help you choose a topic?
My senior topic is going to be on Pediatrics. I originally wanted to do my senior topic on Pediatric Oncologist since I plan to peruse that as my future career , but unfortunately I wasn't able to find a place to mentoship at, so I decided to do it on Pediatrics since is the next closets thing on helping young patients with their health conditions. Doing my mentorship at Chino pediatric Medical Group helped me determine my senior topic because I was able to work with the nurses and doctor to gain some what experience on how to be able to help sick kids and I really enjoyed working with their medical group.
